City’s neighbour offers a lot more bang for your bucks

THE cheapest streets to buy a home in Neath have been revealed.

It comes as latest figures have shown that the average value of properties in Neath is £135,206.

In comparison, the average value in Swansea is £179,907 and £249,382 in Cardiff.

But if you are looking at buying somewhere in Neath, you can buy a property for a lot less if you are prepared to do a complete conversion, some renovation work or compromise on space.

Property website Zoopla has looked at all the figures and postcodes and worked out what it estimates are the cheapest places to live in Neath.

Figures show that Khartoum

Terrace in Onllwyn is where you will find the best bargains, with an estimated average price of £40,000, followed by

Swn-yr-afon in Aberdulais and Commercial Street in Neath, where the typical price is £46,000.
