Power is still with the few

-

MILLIONS of UK citizens are passionate about football, who suddenly woke up to find that billionaires owned, and so controlled, for their own ‘particular and different reason’, the thing they loved, and they were powerless.

However, they are pacified now, since the international owners recognised a small blunder in their plans, and no doubt, will choose a modified scheme next time. Football fans appear to think that something has changed. The idea that the power base has moved, is quite ludicrous.

What seems astonishing, is that UK citizens have learnt nothing from this small scale demonstration of our national economy. We cast votes for political parties, and MPS do have power to modify policies.

But, in a Conservative economy, most of the power is the power of money and the market, involving very few people, of whom some may be honest billionaires. Could you not learn from the lessons of football? CN Westerman Brynna, Mid Glam
