Investigat­ions under way after death of man in city

POLICE have confirmed the death of a man in central Swansea after receiving emergency calls yesterday morning.

Emergency services were called to Walter Road at around 8am on May 26.

Police sealed off a back road linking George Street and Henrietta Street behind a property in Walter Road as two ambulance vehicles also attended.

A number of paramedics could be seen at the rear of the property.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said yesterday: “We were called on Wednesday, May 26, at approximat­ely 8am to reports of a person needing urgent medical attention on Walter Road, Swansea.

“We responded with one rapid response vehicle and one emergency ambulance.”

A spokesman for South Wales Police added: “We were called around 8am this morning following reports of the death of a man. Investigat­ions are ongoing to establish the full circumstan­ces”.
