Friends reunited

-

IT’S The One Where They Get Back Together and could we BE any more excited?

It’s been 17 years since we last saw Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Leblanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer sitting on that couch in Central Perk.

We’ve been told to expect an unscripted celebration of the show that ran for ten years until 2004, and remains one of the biggest sitcoms of all time.

Now the famous six will return to their original set, Stage 24 on the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank, to occupy ‘their’ sofa.

And they will revisit other original sets, including their apartments and the fountain where they shot the opening credits to the hit theme song by The Rembrandts, I’ll Be There For You.

Sky One, 8pm

There will be a Q&A, hosted by James Corden, who will dig into thorny issues such as whether Ross and Rachel were really on a break, as well as a trivia game, styled in the same way as Ross’s memorable battle-ofthe-sexes quiz.

There will be plenty of reminiscing about working on the show and being catapulted to fame, as well as a table read of The One Where Everybody Finds Out. It will also feature some of the best-known guest stars, including Tom Selleck, who played Monica’s older man Richard, as well as Elliott Gould (Monica and Ross’s dad), James Michael Tyler (Gunther), Reese Witherspoon as Rachel’s spoilt brat sister and Maggie Wheeler, who played Chandler’s whiny on-off girlfriend Janice. Oh…my…god… just do not miss it.
