Swans reported to be keeping an eye on striker Kaba

-

SWANSEA City are said to be monitoring FC Midtjylland striker Sory Kaba. According to the Daily Telegraph, both the Swans and Watford have taken a look at the Guinea forward, while Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough are also said to be admirers.

The 26-year old has netted 14 goals in Denmark this season and was also playing Champions League football. It’s not yet known what sort of price tag he would command.

Swansea’s focus is, of course, on their play-off final with Brentford at Wembley on Saturday, with Premier League football likely to have a big impact on their transfer plans.

Whatever division they happen to be playing in next season, Steve Cooper is likely to be on the hunt for more forward options this summer, with question marks still hanging over the futures of several key players.

Andre Ayew, the club’s top scorer this season with 16 goals, is out of contract at the end of the season and is one of those players whose future would look increasingly uncertain should the Swans fall short at Wembley. It seems success against Thomas Frank’s men is likely to also be the key to getting a deal for Kaba done, particularly given that fellow admirers Watford have already sealed a return to the Premier League.
