An easy weekend for the leaders

-

TROSTRE AFC extended their advantage at the top of the premier division of the LTC Mobility Carmarthenshire League to 10 points – without kicking a ball.

Opponents Burry Port failed to raise a team for the away fixture, and as per league rules, Trostre were awarded a 4-0 win.

After becoming the first club to lower the colours of high-flying Trostre with a stunning 4-1 win, Pengelli United followed it up by defeating Trallwm 3-0 at home. On target were Kieran Burder, Reilly Lewis, and Mark Beer.

Defences dominated for most of the clash between Seaside and visiting Gorseinon Athletic.

But the deadlock was broken in the 60th minute when John Dixon scored to earn Gorseinon a 1-0 win.

Pontlliw and Bwlch Rangers drew 2-2 after goals from James Medwin and Liam Mccann were cancelled out by Bwlch’s Matthew Hughes and Kieran Dawe.

There is no change at the top of division one, and second-placed Camford Sports stay six points behind leaders Felinfoel following an eye-catching 6-1 win away to Llandeilo Town.

Striker Connor Morgan led the charge with a fine hat-trick, and there were goals too for Liam Cole and Mario Amato. The home team conceded an own goal, but did get one of their own through Luke Sutton.

Felinfoel won 3-2 at Pwll Athletic after goals by Tom Roberts, Stewart Newson and Chris James. Kori Jones and Gavin Evans replied.

Bottom club Johnstown are still seeking a first league win after 10 attempts and never looked like getting it in the 3-0 defeat at Drefach.

The Gwendraeth Valley team dominated from start to finish, Chris Amos striking with two of the goals. Kieran Waters also netted.

Goals from Liam Griffiths, in the 22nd minute, and Blake Kitching, in the 59th minute, weren’t enough for Llangennech, who lost 4-2 at home to Kidwelly Town.

It was a terrific performance from Kidwelly, who secured the points courtesy of Jordan Howells, Max Martin, Alex Kay and Robert Hammond.

FC Carmarthen beat Abergwili 2-1 with goals by Ben Thomas and a Jordan Archer penalty.

In division two there were hat-tricks for both Stewart Hemingway and James Doel in helping West End United to a 9-2 win at Ammanford Town A. Charlie Weston scored two, and there was one for Calum Howell.

The home team battled until the end and were rewarded with goals from Owen Davies and Paul Griffiths.

Leading 2-0 at half-time, Caerbryn pulled clear for a 7-0 win at home to Hendy. There was a hat-trick for Rhys Morgan. The influential Oliver Dymond grabbed two goals, and there was one each for Lewis Rees and Cameron Jones.
