Success can’t be disputed
READING Barry Morgan’s letter (Post, January 24) I am reminded of Doubting Thomas, who needed proof before abandoning his scepticism 2,000 years ago.
Although 1,006 is only a small survey on which to rely, Yougov is a wellestablished, dependable polling company and will have “weighted” its poll accordingly.
What cannot be disputed, however, is Mark Drakeford’s overwhelming success in his own constituency at the last Senedd election, together with his Labour Party.
At that election I telephone canvassed in Gower extensively, including Pontarddulais, and found backing for Mark to be convincingly supportive.
Facts can be uncomfortable but cannot be overlooked except by those wishing to abandon the truth, as witnessed in Downing Street. David L Davies Penclawdd
