Johnson set for Premier move
PREMIER League Brentford are reportedly set to break their own £13.5m transfer record to land Wales star Brennan Johnson.
The Nottingham Forest forward, 20, has been one of the standout players in the Championship this term after turning out several impressive displays for his country over the last 12 months.
It has seen his stock rise immeasurably, with Premier League Newcastle United also thought to be seriously considering a bid.
The Athletic website claims that Forest have already rebuffed a £15m bid from the Bees, with the west London club set to up their offer in the coming days.
Newcastle are expected to table their own offer in the coming days. Johnson has seven goals and five assists for Forest this term, including one of each in their 3-0 win over Barnsley on Tuesday night.
