Is Wales open for business?

-

I FEEL compelled to write after watching another shockingly inept performance by Mark Drakeford, leader of the Labour Welsh Government, on the ITV Sunday morning Wales Politics show.

Again, there were no new ideas put forward. He put up a very poor defence for his Health Minister Eluned Morgan to remain in high office after breaking the law three times.

There was little said about improving the three large comprehensive schools which are still in protective measures after three years. It is no wonder Wales is bottom of the four home countries in the education Pisa tables.

This after nearly 25 year’ educational meddling by Labour at Cardiff.

He said nothing about our NHS being in total mess which the Labour Welsh Government has managed for nearly 25 years.

He needs to spend every penny from nonurgent budgets (eg Welshness) on the NHS; cut information and utility bills in both English and Welsh – what a total waste of money; and canvas individuals on whether they want it in either English or Welsh but not both. It is not rocket science.

He even claimed glory for the Labour Welsh Government for the £150 every household get to help with heating bills. It was the UK Chancellor, not Labour in Wales.

Against all the professional advice of road hauliers, the AA, the RAC, he stopped the building of the M4 relief road.

He believes that the building of new rail station stops around Newport together with improving the Newport bus network will stop/ ease the daily nightmare of the Brynglas tunnels.

I am sure all tradesmen will enjoy lugging their heavy tools and equipment on these trains and buses. What a state of affairs

Indeed, the Labour Welsh Government has banned the building of new roads for the time being. The message he is giving is that Wales is closed for new business.

Is new industry really going to come here hearing this nonsense? Name and address supplied
