HOT on the heels of National Curry Week, the Visiter today reveals the town’s 10 best curry restaurant­s – as voted for on TripAdviso­r.

Southport has a huge range of restaurant­s serving food from around the world.

There is a great choice of where to get a good curry and it seems you can’t beat Thai – with Samsara Thai in Birkdale Village top choice for diners. 1. Samsara Thai

Samsara Thai, on Weld Road, Birkdale, is not just the best place for a curry in Southport - it is rated by diners as the top restaurant overall, number one out of 244 places rated.

It holds a full five stars, with 434 pe o p l e out of 479 rating it as excellent.

Reviewer Hayley Murray said: “Me and my boyfriend came here to try something different. It was absolutely stunning.

“The interior of the restaurant is very classy and looks incredibly clean. The restaurant itself isn’t too big which adds a lovely intimate feeling to your visit.

“The staff were incredible; very friendly, happy to chat and very welcoming. As for the food, it was just divine.”

Sandra Carney said: “What a great Thai restaurant!

“The food was very good and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and attentive.”

Lorraine B said: “My husband and I went for a meal here for our Wedding Anniversar­y. We had the set meal for two. Quick service and the food was just perfect. Service was brilliant and staff very friendly. We will definitely recommend to all and will be returning very soon. Thank you!”
