MORE than 40 golfers took to the greens of Southport and Ainsdale Golf Club last week to raise funds for Community Link Foundation.

The golf day, supported by Cintra and Salesforce, raised more than £2,500 for the Community Link Foundation to distribute to worthy causes in the local community.

It was a very sunny day when the golfers set out at S&A, in teams of four. There were teams from local businesses including Kingswood Homes, Chris Tinsley Estate Agents, Palace Chemicals, Lake Direct, Anthony James Estate Agents, and the Ramada Plaza, as well as national companies, Cintra and Salesforce.

Enda Rylands, chairman of Community Link Foundation, said: “We had a great day on the course and we are very grateful to everyone at Southport and Ainsdale Golf Club for everything they did to help the day be such a success.

“Everyone seemed to have a great day and we would like to thank everyone who took part and helped raise the money which we can now put to good use in the community.”

An evening presentation was held in the clubhouse with numerous prizes awarded to the day’s best scoring golfers.

The day received great support from the main sponsors and from the many companies who attended on the day and sponsored prizes.
