Simmo’s looking forward to another Ladies’ Day

-

SOUTHPORT Flower Show Ladies’ Day host Claire Simmo is looking forward to tomorrow (Friday, August 19).

The Radio City DJ and Southport personality will once again present and provide entertainment for the coveted occasion, alongside Granada Reports presenter Paul Crone.

Claire said: “It is one of those things were all these years I have been going to it.

“I’m so looking forward to working with Paul Crone again, and the amazing Kaz Tindell-Watkins.

“This year will be bigger and better again, with plenty of surprises.

“It is nice that I get to be involved and work at it as well as enjoy the whole Flower Show weekend.”

Proceeds from the now sold-out Ladies Day event will be donated to Community Link Foundation; a charity for the people of Southport, Formby, Ormskirk, Ainsdale, Burscough, Hesketh Bank, Rufford and Banks, and the communities within these catchment boundaries.

Last year’s event featured a runway fashion show, followed by a Chi- nese dragon dance – to go with the 2015 show’s oriental theme.

This year’s Ladies Day entertainment is a surprise, but will be in keeping with all things Mediterranean, like the rest of the show.

Ladies Day will be held tomorrow (Friday) with the Flower Show opening today (August 18) by celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott.

Karen Watkins has organised the event.
