ARE you searching for the ultimate 19th hole in Southport after enjoying the Open Golf at Royal Birkdake?

First to tee off for us is “Birkers 19th hole”. The pub boasts eight big screens to catch all the action and a great range of beers.

They’re serving up their famous barbecue from breakfast until late, so whether you’re off to Royal Birkdale or staying put you can enjoy their great food.

Why not try the Birkers putting competitio­n? Remedy, Lord Street, Southport Co-owner Sarah Simcock said: “We have a selection of golfers’ gin and whisky.

‘‘We have golf widows offers, breakfast offers and we’re also doing martinis for the duration of The Open.

“Our mobile bar will be located in the Summer of Golf event where you will find Southport Brewery’s Hole In One beer.” Town Gardens Cafe, Lord Street, Southport

Owner Natalie JamiesonMo­rrison said: “We are really excited about the event.

Open every day from 5pm, claiming Southport’s best cocktail menu served to you from some of the North of England’s best flair bartenders.

Great beers, cocktails and music until 3am, seven days a week. Punch Tarmey’s, Khepri and The Bold Hotel, Lord Street, Southport town centre

Punch Tarmey’s will be the place to have a fun time with cocktails and an extensive gin and whiskey menu.

The Bold will be showing The Open on a big screen set up in the function room. They also have Sam Torrance there tonight (Thursday) for a Sportsman’s Dinner.

Khepri will be showing the golf on the big screen which is one of the UK’s largest screens, and will be serving drinks all day into the early hours! Peaky Blinders, Lord Street, town centre

This Northern Quarter hotspot is keen to welcome golf fans to this atmospheri­c 1920s themed venue, with beer, cask ale, wine and spirits available from 10.30am until midnight.

Top golfer Sergio Garcia has already popped in for a visit. The Phoenix, Coronation Walk, Southport

Tonight, Thursday, The Deadbeats will be performing and nationally acclaimed Electric 80s will entertain the Friday crowd.

There’s a Saturday night disco, and the Dicemen will top it off on the Sunday.

The bar and restaurant will hold barbecues throughout the event.
