Police find injured man with brain bleed in flat
AMAN was treated for a bleed on his brain after being after being found in his flat by police.
Officers were called to the Bold Street address at around 9pm on Sunday evening to find the man had suffered multiple injuries.
He was taken to hospital where his condition was described as serious but stable.
Detectives have appealed for information as they try to determine whether the 44-year-old was attacked or suffered a fall.
A forensic examination of the scene has been carried out, as well as CCTV and house to house inquiries.
Det Insp Gary Stratton said: “At this time, we are working to ascertain how this man came to be injured.
“It’s possible that he was assaulted or suffered a fall and we are hoping someone may be able to assist us in piecing together what has happened. We know the victim was last seen on Thursday and I’d ask anyone who may have seen a fight or assault take place in this area or maybe someone was subject to a fall and you helped them up?
“I’m sure you’d remember if you’d witnessed this and I’d ask you to get in contact – any information no matter how small could assist our investigation.
“The victim is described as white, slim build, 5ft 5in tall with a shaven head and a beard.
“He is known to wear a cap, T-shirt and jeans and a black bubble coat.”
