OPENWELL South­port is work­ing with other South­port churches to host a Mad Hat­ter’s tea party on Satur­day, Novem­ber 10.

The event, at 1.304.30pm, will fea­ture the In An­other Place theatre pro­duc­tions team.

Ad­mis­sion is £2.50 and there will be an Alice themed cafe which in­cludes a hot drink and a cake. Chil­dren en­ter free.

There will also be good as new stalls, chil­dren’s crafts, face paint­ing and an auc­tion, with the fea­ture event be­ing a walk through the rab­bit hole to watch the Mad Hat­ter’s tea party per­for­mances.

Or­gan­iser Julie Dun­ning said:

“Openwell moved into a new build­ing at West Park op­po­site Hes­keth Park in Au­gust this year.

“The cen­tre pro­vides great fa­cil­i­ties and an op­por­tu­nity to sup­port the lo­cal com­mu­nity.

“The pro­ceeds from the event will go to the church’s [reg­is­tered char­ity] work in the com­mu­nity in or­der to serve the lo­cal com­mu­nity with God’s love.”

Lit­tle Trea­sures par­ent and tod­dler group meets Wed­nes­day morn­ings term times, 10-11.45am. The Mad Hat­ter event is tak­ing place at Openwell Life Cen­tre at West Park.

WIR­RAL So­ci­ety Of Arts Mem­bers’ Ex­hi­bi­tion is be­ing held at The Atkin­son.

Wir­ral So­ci­ety Of Arts has been to­gether for 70 years this year and is made up of pro­fes­sional and semi pro­fes­sional artists.

Pre­vi­ous ex­hi­bi­tions have been held at the Wil­liamson Art Gallery & Mu­seum in Liver­pool.

But this year, the chance came along for the first time to ex­hibit at the Atkin­son Gallery and the group jumped at the chance to show South­port the high stan­dard of art that comes from Wir­ral.

The so­ci­ety’s ex­hi­bi­tion is on show un­til Jan­uary 20, 2019, Mon­day to Satur­day, 10am-5pm at The Atkin­son, in Lord Street.
