MP re­futes May deal and re­jects new vote

Would-be par­lia­men­tary can­di­date John Wright called for the Gov­ern­ment to al­low an­other pub­lic vote.

He said: “We say there is an­other way. Know­ing what we know now, that the Brexit peo­ple voted for in 2016 is un­de­liv­er­able, and with the politi­cians in­ca­pable of ar­riv­ing at a con­sen­sus, the is­sue should go back to the Bri­tish peo­ple to de­cide; there should be a Peo­ple’s Vote on the fi­nal deal, with an op­tion to re­main in­cluded”.
