Southport Trinity FC

IN LAST week’s Visiter, we stated that Southport Trinity Football Club was considering moving from the Rookery to a new ground.

In fact, the club is looking for a new site as an overspill facility in addition to the Rookery, not instead of it. There are no plans to leave the current site.

The article also stated that Trinity is the town’s oldest football club, when it should have read “oldest amateur football club”.
