Fifth win of the year for Formby heavy Dick­in­son

ALEX Dick­in­son added the fifth win of the cal­en­dar year to his ledger last week.

The Formby heavy­weight, 31, boxed at the Emi­rates Arena in Glas­gow, ex­clu­sively live on BoxNa­tion.

Dick­in­son, who is now 8-0 with five early since turn­ing pro­fes­sional in June 2017, beat Mor­gan Des­saux on points over six rounds on Fri­day.

The Ever­ton Red Tri­an­gle-trained man was a late ad­di­tion to the MTK Global card and af­ter re­tain­ing his flaw­less ledger against the 36-year-old French­man, a for­mer foe of WBC In­ter­na­tional cham­pion Nathan Gor­man, he will now head back to the gym un­der head coach Paul Steven­son to pre­pare for his fi­nal out­ing of the year later this month.

Dick­in­son will be in ac­tion on De­cem­ber 22, live on BT Sport Box Of­fice, as part of the sup­port­ing cast to Josh War­ring­ton’s IBF feath­er­weight world ti­tle de­fence against Carl Framp­ton at Manch­ester Arena on a card that will also fea­ture Com­mon­wealth Games bronze medal­list Sam Maxwell and Martin Mur­ray as he de­fends his WBC Sil­ver mid­dleweight ti­tle against Has­sam N’Dam N’Jikam.
