BISTROT PIERRE has announced that its team will be helping to raise money for the Community Link Foundation (CLF), a charity which helps local people and groups who need financial support during difficult times, throughout 2019.

The French restaurant and bar on Lord Street selected the partner after many nominations were received from the public for charities that make a real difference to local people.

To kickstart the fundraising efforts, representatives from the charity were presented with a cheque for £500 at a special VIP drinks reception celebrating the bistrot’s first anniversary.

Enda Rylands, chairperson for CLF, said: “On behalf of myself and my fellow trustees I would like to say how grateful we are that Bistrot

Pierre has chosen to support the Community Link Foundation.

“We will work with Bistrot Pierre to ensure as many local people as possible benefit from this support.”

Karen Rimmer, general manager at Bistrot Pierre, said: “We were overwhelmed with the response from our request to find the mostdeserving local charity to support for the coming year.

“CLF deliver fantastic work within the community, offering grants to people and local community groups to enhance the lives of people who need it most.

“We’re delighted to be celebrating our first anniversary in Southport and wanted to give something back to the community which has given us such a warm welcome.”

“We look forward to working with the charity throughout the year to raise much-needed funds which will help make a difference to people living in and around Southport.”

The bistrot and bar is open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
