What’s On

Southport Visiter - - What’s On -

IT’S Christmas Eve.

Backstage in a jampacked Liverpool social club, actress and cabaret diva Bev eagerly awaits a career-changing call from her London agent.

As she prepares for her last ever gig, Bev invites us into her world, telling tales of her search for stardom, the lecherous managers, holiday camp glamour, and how a chance meeting with a famous director could mean the end of her days as a travelling socialclub singer and part-time TV extra.

Our Bev’s Christmas Cracker is a brilliant and hilarious mixture of story, comedy and song, and is the perfect Christmas night out.

For anyone who’s ever wondered what life is like on the other side of that club lounge star-cloth, this is the show for you!

The show will be at the Royal Court, Liverpool, from

December 19-22.

Age advisory: 16 and over.

Tickets are £10 – there are no booking fees payable.

THE Rock ’n’ Roll panto: The Snow Queen is running at Liverpool’s Everyman Theatre until Saturday, January 19.

Regular writers Sarah A Nixon and Mark Chatterton unite with musical director Greg Last to bring the usual music and mayhem to this chilly tale.

Their notorious dame, Francis Tucker, and master of mischief Adam Keast, will bring audiences to their feet to dance, cheer and avoid a soaking.

Unlike any other panto in the city, the multitalented cast sing, dance, entertain and play music live on stage, making sure The Snow Queen is as cool as can be.

Tickets are available from £15.
