A CHARITY which provides respite care break has launched a competition for a chance to win a seven-day respite break.
Revitalise has three respite centres across the UK, and has launched a competition offering the opportunity for carers and loved ones to win a stay.
Entrants should write a 500-word story or poem to highlight the highs and lows of 2020, documenting the humour and tears.
There is a celebrity panel of judges including BBC Radio 2 DJ, Mark Radcliffe, pictured right, actress and disability activist, Samantha Renke, Endeavour actress, Carol Royle and Paralympic Gold Medallist, David Smith MBE.
Revitalise CEO Jan Tregelles said: “We are hoping for a bumper response to the Revitalise 500 competition.
“Home carers are amazing, talented people and we want to provide an echo chamber for their inspiring stories, together with a great respite holiday experience for the lucky winners.”
The winner will win a seven-day break at the Revitalise centre of their choice.
Second and third place will win a £250 and £150
Revitalise voucher respectively to go towards their next respite break.
Entries must be submitted by midnight on Friday, November 6.
The competition is being launched as part of the Revitalise Care for Carers campaign.
The charity, which is based in Southport aims to raise £1million to support carers and their loved ones to access care breaks following lockdown.
