Cats and dogs look out for new homes

-

SINCE our last article, a fortnight ago, we have been very busy and have successfully rehomed, or had reserved, the majority of our available animals at the RSPCA.

Unfortunately, though, for Freya and Luna, both cats currently in our care, they haven’t been so lucky so far.

Freya and Luna are a bonded pair of seven-year-old siblings who are looking for a home together; the two animals require a pet free adult only home.

We have found Freya to be the more confident of the pair, once she knows you, she happily comes up to her catpod door to greet you.

She enjoys cuddles and likes a good head scratch.

Luna lacks in confidence, she is a shy girl who sometimes will hide away.

Once she knows and trusts you she does enjoy being stroked, but she will need some time to adjust in to her new home before she will be truly comfortable with this.

If you think you could offer Freya and Luna a secure calm adult only home, then please apply by sending in a Perfect Match form (from our website) to our reception team – info@rspcasouthport.co.uk.

We also have a couple of new girls on our dog block who are now ready to start their search for a forever home.

Firstly, we have Pinky who is a sweet, friendly six-year-old girl.

Kennel life has been rather stressful for Pinky as she is a social girl who likes to be with people and enjoys the interaction.

She does get very excited when meeting people.

We feel she needs a home with someone who is at home a lot and will be able to teach her that its ok to be alone for short periods of time.

We have found that Pinky walks very well on her lead and enjoys playing with toys.

Pinky is looking for a pet free home; she is suitable to be rehomed with older children 14+.

Other new girl on the block is Loca, at three-years-old she finds herself needing a second chance at happiness.

Loca is in need of a pet free adult only home with owners who are experienced with similar breeds.

We have found Loca to be a friendly girl who can become easily excitable. Loca knows basic commands and enjoys getting out for long walks.

She would benefit from more positive rewards-based training from her new owners, this will help her become a well-balanced dog and also build up a good strong relationship with her owner.

If you think you could provide either Pinky or Loca with a supportive and loving home, then please apply by sending in a perfect match form. Once we have received your application one of our reception team will be in contact.

We will have more animals searching for new homes over the following weeks, so please do keep an eye on our website and facebook for updates!
