Take a Trekk... and spring into action for us!

-

WE are delighted to announce that Queenscourt’s ever popular Star Trekk night walk is back in its usual springtime spot and will take place on Friday, May 6.

This will be the 16th year for Star Trekk, which has raised over £870,000 in that time for Queenscourt.

The walk is a healthy, energising and fun event open to people of all ages.

You can take part on your own, with family and friends, with your exercise class or with your work colleagues – the choice is yours.

While many trekkers take part in memory of a loved one or because Queenscourt has supported them personally, others simply enjoy a fun night out and just want to raise money for their local hospice.

This year’s Star Trekk will start as usual at Pleasureland Southport where there will be a fun party atmosphere thanks to the pre-trekk entertainment ahead of the start of the walk at 7.30pm.

For the fashion-conscious and to get

Star Trekk ready with matching accessories, we are going lime green this year – so we look forward to seeing you all in your fabulous and quirky outfits!

All trekkers will receive a t-shirt and a medal.

Dianne Gillespie, events fundraiser, said: “In September last year, we welcomed back supporters for the first Star Trekk post-pandemic.

“We were delighted to see so many familiar and new faces who came along and made the evening such a success.

“Star Trekk is a flagship event in the Queenscourt calendar which generates much-needed income for the hospice, helping us continue to provide palliative care to the local people of West Lancashire, Formby and Southport.

‘‘While fundraising is at the discretion of the entrant, we kindly ask for a minimum sponsorship of £30 in addition to the entry fee.’’

Entries will cost £20 or £12.50 for under 16s – to enter online, please visit www.queenscourt.org.uk/startrekk.
