Warning as man vandalises car

-

A WOMAN was “horrified” after her car was vandalised.

Arti Jangra from Southport was at home when a builder working on her house informed her there was a large scratch on the side of her BMW.

After checking her CCTV the video appeared to show two men approaching her house on Park Road West.

One man then proceeded to walk onto her property and took out what appeared to be a pair of keys from his jacket pocket and scratched a large mark on the passenger side door.

The two men then left with a large dog in tow.

Arti said: “It was horrible to see how he had violated my personal space by coming into my drive.

“I kept thinking who could it be and why would somebody do that but I don’t have any problems with anyone, people here are really nice, I could not make sense of it.”

Arti said that after sharing the video on Next Door, other people in the area came forward as their cars had also been vandalised.

She was contacted by the daughter of an elderly lady who lives in a block of flats nearby.

She said: “Her mum’s car had been scratched too and it was parked outside in Park Road West. Today I found out that two other cars on the road had been scratched as well so it’s not just my car.

“In a way, it was a relief that I wasn’t specifically targeted but it was still upsetting because you don’t want to have your property vandalised.

“But to know that he has done that to a pensioner and other hardworking people. With rising cost at the moment nobody wants added expenditure it was a horrible thing to do.”

Arti said that she has contacted the police about the incident.
