Holiday fun as golf centre reopens
THE spectacular Viking Golf course in Southport will reopen for February half term. The £1million attraction was opened at the front of Southport Pleasureland last summer.
It features an 19-hole adventure golf course, amidst a course filled with: over 100 trees; hundreds of plants of different colours, shapes and scents; hundreds of gallons of water flowing throughout the course; plus lots of specially created Viking themed props, including hundreds of custom made wooden Viking warrior shields.
A new ‘longhouse’ themed eatery and bar is due to open this year.
The Viking Golf course will reopen on Saturday, February 11.
Weather permitting, it will be open through to Sunday, February 26.
The course will be open from 11am5pm, with the last tee off time at 4pm.

Tickets cost: Adults £10, children (under 16) £8, senior citizens (over 65) £8, family of 4 £32 (2 adults and 2 children, or 1 adult and 3 children).
It will then open on weekends only until the Easter holidays which start on Saturday 1st April 2023.
The new attraction provides multisensory entertainment and pure escapism for families “on a different scale” to what they have seen before.
The adventure golf course is environmentally sensitive with wood used for construction reclaimed from the former zoo which stood nearby several years ago and from trees which were blown down during the fierce storms which struck the coastline earlier last year.
Southport Pleasureland is currently recruiting more than 100 members of staff for the 2023 season.
The thriving attraction, on Marine Drive in Southport, is due to reopen on Saturday, March 18.
Tickets will go on sale soon. Recruitment workshops take place on Saturday, February 11 and Saturday, February 18.
Staff are being sought in all areas of the business – guest relations, housekeeping, car parking, food and beverage and ride attendants.
As well as some seasonal positions they will also be recruiting for some permanent full-time roles too.
