seafood platters, you don’t really see that anywhere else.

“We think it’s a really good idea that will be very popular.

“We are incredibly busy working on our new menu at the moment.

“We have been discussing ideas with our head chef Oscar but also with our Manager Claudio, to create a vast range of delicious meals.

“They are incredibly good when it comes to food.”

“When people come to the restaurant and request something that is not on the menu, our chef Oscar makes it!”

Luminita and Radu’s original venture in Southport town centre is the Daily Shop on London Street, close to the Chapel Street shopping area.

Their dream was to expand by opening an authentic Italian restaurant - inspired by a country and a cuisine which they love.

Luminita said: “We had previously looked at the former

Casa Italia restaurant building, but decided, in the end, to open Sapori inside the former Salvatore’s restaurant site or also known as Curzon Grill.

“We previously had a look at the place, and we loved it. It was perfect for what we had in mind.

“We had lots of ideas on what we wanted to create and it was a great set-up.

“We enjoyed spending some time with the Grossi family, who had made such a huge success of Casa Italia and Curzon Grill for many years.

“We got a lot of great ideas from speaking with them. We are also very grateful for their support.”

Luminita and Radu love being in Southport.

They are delighted to have been able to invest in the town, opening two thriving businesses - with ambitions for more.

Luminita said: “Southport is a beautiful town. It is a really, really nice place to be in.

“It is a very classic town, I love all the historic buildings.

“It has kept its character well and It is also a very clean town, not like some other places you see.”
