Air show and fireworks championship tickets go on sale
TICKETS for events in Southport this year have gone on sale, including for the air show and British Musical Fireworks Championship.
Residents across Sefton will be able to get tickets for events put on by Sefton Council across the year.
The Southport Food and Drink Festival in June will be one of several free events the public can attend.
The British Musical Fireworks Championship will take place over two days and six competitors, including some who were unable to take part last year due to bad weather, will take part in the event at Victoria Park.
The shows see fireworks set to music and AJ Pyrotechnics and Gala Fireworks will return and compete against Imperial Lotus, Sonic Fireworks,
Celestial Firework and Galaxy Fireworks.
Councillor Marion Atkinson, Sefton Council’s Labour cabinet member for regeneration and skills, said: “We are incredibly delighted to be able to once again host our three flagship tourism events in 2023. Our tourism team and partners have, as always, been working exceptionally hard to ensure we are able to once again bring this tantalising trio to Southport. Tickets are on sale now for the thousands of people who adore our events and I urge you to get them now before they sell out. Entry to the Southport Food and Drink Festival remains completely free.

Displays anyone under the age of 16 and the British Musical Fireworks Championship for under the age of five.

Dates for the three events are: Southport Food and Drink Festival June 2-4; Southport Air Show September 9-10; British Musical Fireworks Championship September 22-23.
