Sheds built for success

PEOPLE will be able to give their garden a stylish makeover in time for summer after Solid Sheds opened a new outlet in Southport.

The established familyrun firm is now available at Dobbies Garden Centre, on Bentham’s Way, as it continues to expand.

Solid Sheds first opened at Lady Green Nurseries in Ince Blundell in 2010 and now operates sites across the North West and Midlands, including Liverpool, Birmingham, Chester, Coventry, Derby, Manchester and others.

The company is excited to be opening in a gardenloving town which hosts the annual Southport Flower Show.

There is a huge choice for shoppers, including garden sheds, garden office sheds, summer houses, workshops, wendy houses for children, growing houses, and much more besides.

Solid Sheds CEO Andy Hayes said: “We are delighted to have opened in Southport, a town where people really love their gardens!

“I am a huge fan of Southport Flower Show.

“I have operated there many times, and am looking forward to returning there this year with Solid Sheds.

“It’s a superb event, and great value for money.

“It shows just how much people in Southport, and neighbouring areas such as Banks, Hesketh Bank, Formby and Ormskirk, really love the great outdoors.

“We have had a fantastic response since we opened at Dobbies.

“It is a really busy garden centre and we complement what they have really well.

“It gives families the chance to come and have a look at some of the many sheds we have to offer.

“At Solid Sheds, we offer a range of garden sheds for sale in a variety of shapes and sizes, ideal to suit whichever garden space you have.

“Made from the highest quality pressure-treated timber, our eco-friendly wooden sheds are designed to last for decades.

“We have seen them used for anything from a summer house to a wendy house for the kids to an insulated home studio or garden office shed. And if you’re looking for a classic garden workshop or potting shed, we’ve got you covered, too!

“Our wooden sheds are the perfect option to add an extra room to your home without the need to overhaul your living space with messy and expensive renovations.

“All of our sheds are hand-crafted in our purposebuilt Solid Sheds factory in Skelmersdale.

“We employ over 80 people overall.

“We’re a well-established firm with a great tradespeople.

“We only offer the best quality products.

“All our sheds are made from durable redwood, which is treated with preservatives in a vacuum pressure impregnation plant to guarantee longstanding protection against rot and decay.

“With some sheds you buy, they are decaying within three years, the wood will be rotting and the felt will have gone.

“With our sheds, if you look after them well, they’ll outlast you!

“When we deliver your new garden shed, our team will build it for you there and then to ensure professional quality construction.

“If you prefer to collect your wooden shed and self-build, you’ll benefit from a 10% saving on the cost.

“If you would like delivery only, this comes with a 5% saving.

“We have an excellent customer services team which will answer any questions and give you any support you need whether it’s about the delivery, the assembly process, or whether you need a site survey prior to installation.” team of
