Cast your vote for the Your Southport Stars Awards 2024

IT’S time to cast your votes for Your Southport Stars Awards 2024! Over 80 Southport town centre businesses are nominated over 12 categories.

The awards, organised by Southport BID, celebrate the vital contributi­on and positive impact of local businesses over the previous 12 months.

In 2023, venues including Southport Bijou Cinema, A Great Little Place and Marks and Spencer picked up the top prize in their respective categories.

You can cast your votes now at www.southportb­id.com/stars.

The awards night will take place at The Grand in Southport on Tuesday, April 16, where businesses will be invited to come together and mark the achievemen­ts of the last year.

As well as the 12 distinct categories, the business with the most votes overall will receive the Business of the Year Award for 2024.

Voting closes on Thursday, April 5.

Rachel Fitzgerald, Southport BID CEO, said: “The Stars Awards are a unique opportunit­y to show off the brilliant business community that exists within Southport town centre.

“With over 35,000 votes cast for last year’s awards, it’s clear that the public are keen to support our town and champion their favourite venues. Make sure to cast your vote this year!”

National Retailer of the Year: Flannels, Lakeland Leather, Nationwide Building Society, New Look, Primark, Ryman Stationery, The Entertaine­r Toyshop, Warren James.

Independen­t Retailer of the Year: DebbieLyn Apparel, Design by Gavriela, June the Florist, Locks & Co, Over the Moon Kids Boutique, Reputation Menswear, The Plant Room.

Restaurant of the Year: Bistrot Pierre, Great

Himalayas Nepalese Restaurant and Bar, Lings On Kings, Prezzo, Roberto’s Italian Restaurant, The Grand, The Office Bar and Restaurant, The Swan Restaurant, Volare Restaurant, Xander’s Fish Bar.

Cafe or Coffee Shop of the Year: A Great Little Place, Caffe Dolce, Cleveland Cafe, Costa (Chapel Street), Food For Thought, Hoghton Coffee Lounge & Bar, House of Ivy, Nostalgia Tea Room, Season Coffee Bar & Kitchen, Tapper’s Cafe, The Pavilion.

Cafe, Bar & Bistro Pub, Bar or Club of the Year: Kokomo Coffee and Wine Bar, Mavericks, Peaky Blinders Bar & Accommodat­ion, Punch Tarmey’s, Southport Market Bar, Tap & Bottles, The Corridor Bar & Eatery, The Monument Pub & Sports Bar, The New Southport Tavern, The Southport Coaster, The Windmill.

Entertainm­ent Venue of the Year: Lakeside Miniature

Railway, Playtown Southport, Puzzology Escape Rooms, Silcocks Funland & Carousel, Southport Bijou Cinema, Southport Pleasurela­nd, The Big Wheel and Alpine Village, Victoria Park Events, Viking Adventure Golf.

Health and Fitness Venue of the Year: Coastline Crossfit, From the Block Fitness, Pilates Works, The Dairy Holistic Hub, Victoria Health & Leisure Club.

Beauty Business of the Year: Beauty HQ, Element5 Hairdressi­ng, FYHAIR, LM Beauty.

Hotel or Guest House of the Year: Lord Street Hotel, Southport Metro Hotel, The Bold Hotel, The Vincent Hotel, Waterfront Southport Hotel.
