THE new Sinclair’s Bar, Cocktail Lounge and Rooms in Southport is now open. Owners of the stylish venue at 589 Lord Street in Southport town centre have thanked people who came to visit Sinclair’s during its launch on the busy St Patrick’s weekend.
Previously Peaky Blinders Bar, the rebrand to Sinclair’s honours founder John Sinclair and celebrates the rich traditions of whiskey bars and public houses in London and New York.
Customers can enjoy a wide selection of cask ales, draught lagers, a new cocktail and wine menu and a large selection of whiskey and spirits.
The Cocktail Lounge offers an exclusive setting for events.
Owner Melanie Sinclair said: “Thank you for making our launch incredible! We couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who joined us at the grand opening of Sinclair’s Bar.
“We’re back open and ready for more fun this week. Swing by and experience the best of Sinclair’s Bar. Cheers to good times ahead!”
The venue is at the heart of Southport’s Northern Quarter which has seen huge investment in recent years to make it the place to be for people enjoying a fun night out or a relaxing afternoon.
Melanie Sinclair said the bar’s rebrand is a fitting tribute to her husband John who opened the original Peaky Blinders bar in Southport in 2015. He tragically died in 2020.
She said: “With our rebrand, we aim to pay tribute to John, whilst also embracing the timeless traditions of whiskey bars and public houses.
“The bar has undergone a full refurbishment and a new look and we are very excited to welcome our existing and new customers to this fabulous location on Lord Street.
“We believe that Sinclair’s will not only honour John’s memory but also provide visitors with an experience that reflects his passion for hospitality and camaraderie.”
The extensive refurbishment has seen the creation of four new jobs.
