British Sky Broad­cast­ing, the UK pay-tele­vi­sion op­er­a­tor, sealed a deal to continue of­fer­ing ex­clu­sive live cov­er­age in its home mar­ket of ma­jor events or­gan­ised by the In­ter­na­tional Cricket Coun­cil, in­clud­ing the Cricket World Cup, the sport’s premier one-day in­ter­na­tional com­pe­ti­tion. Un­der a new agree­ment with ESPN Star Sports, the pan-Asian sports broad­caster which is the ICC’s global pro­duc­tion and mar­ket­ing part­ner, BSkyB will show live games from the 2012 World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka in Septem­ber and Oc­to­ber, the 2013 Women’s Cricket World Cup in In­dia, the 2013 Cham­pi­ons Tro­phy, an­other one-day in­ter­na­tional event, in Eng­land, the 2014 World Twenty20 in Bangladesh and the 2015 Cricket World Cup in Aus­tralia and New Zealand.
