SAFETY IN NUMBERS

Harried constantly, woodpigeons join together to flock en masse in winter. Sometimes a few thousand strong, they find safety in numbers by both feeding and sleeping together. Moving around in big lots, any form of disturbance quickly alerts the entire flock to danger.
