Small shoot raises charity funds
Springbrook Gun Club in Warwickshire has raised £8,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support at a sponsored shoot.
The clay club, which has just 34 members, gave its support to Macmillan’s #macbrum campaign, which aims to raise £250,000 for its services in Birmingham and the Black Country.
Club president Howard Aucote said: “A number of our members know from personal experience the value of the work that Macmillan Cancer Support does, and everyone put in a huge effort to make the day a fundraising success.
“Our members raised money from individual sponsorships and we also received some very generous donations. We are extremely grateful to everyone who helped in our aim to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan.”
