Sporting Gun

Let it go

-

How can I stop “hanging on” to targets?

Tony says: This comes from checking the gun position in relation to the target, causing the swing to slow or stop. Focus on your target. The swing should be three beats: one, mount; two, swing; and three, follow through. Hold points need to be considered — there is no point in holding the gun where the target comes out and following it for too long. This will just encourage you to look at the gun. Adjust your hold point and keep your nerve, let the target come to you then go one, two, three.
