You have published the November crossword answers along with the November crossword, instead of the October answers for last month’s edition. If I am the first to report this, do I win the prize of a pair of Härkila gloves?

I’m afraid you were not the first to report this, Piers, and I hazard that you won’t be the last. Indeed, our mailbag was bulging with letters pointing out my error. I liked the one that said it was the first time they completed the crossword. Apologies to all and thanks for being such good sports about it. I promise I will get it right this month.
