Can you tell me anything about this elegant stick?

Robert says: This walking cane was owned by a serving or ex-serving member of the Royal Flying Corps (RFC) and would have been privately purchased for civilian wear. Despite reforming as the RAF in 1918, the RFC badge continued to be popular with ex-personnel well into the late 1920s, though I am sure your cane is wartime. It may have tiny hallmarks that would date it. The black finish — or ebonising — was popular around this time. The cane is a little worn and so would probably achieve £50-£70 at auction.
