Rampant rabbits

Last month you wrote about the rabbit problem on Canna. Was that the worst case of rabbit infestation you had come across?

Ed says: The level of damage caused by the rabbits in Canna was quite spectacular. I won’t forget the night I walked into the field with Craig and Rum to look at the job. We shone the lamp and Rum had an expression that said, “What do you want me to do with that lot?” It is the only time that I have felt intimidated by the volume of rabbits before me. I’ve worked in plenty of places where we have removed hundreds, or even thousands, of rabbits but it tends to be in localised pockets and not so widespread across an area.
