Don’t be fooled
What decoys and how many for pink-footed geese?
I have shot over many different types of decoys over the years. It is best to use something that paints a natural picture within your budget and, more importantly, what you can carry. Full bodies would be the best if price wasn’t an issue and if you could drive to where you want to shoot. I have always opted for decoys that are lightweight as, in theory, you should have heavy geese to carry back. Goose rags were my go-to decoy for years, but they seem to have disappeared. Sillosocks are worth a look. I watched a fellow fowler use them with great success last year, which prompted me to invest in my own. As for numbers, as many as you can comfortably afford and carry.
