Pigeons still on Irish menu

Pigeon shooting in Ireland will go ahead this summer after the Irish government withdrew a proposal not to approve the derogations that allows for the activity to take place. This provoked an angry reaction from interested parties, least not farmers concerned about the potential effect it would have on their cereal crops. The National Association of Regional Game Councils said “common sense had won the day”.
