Barbed comments

I read with interest in Sporting Gun about using pipe lagging to negotiate barbed wire fencing. I tried this about 20 years ago on a shoot I was a beater on and was met with some derision. However, I managed to get some of the other beaters to try it and much to their surprise they admitted it worked. I first tried it because one of my bitch springers got caught up on barbed wire and the damage it caused her was horrendous.
