Build an effective hide in double-quick time
A lot of shooters seem to use fishing umbrellas as a quick and easy way to construct a hide. Do you use them or do you have a better way of creating a hide at short notice?
Peter says: I can build a net hide and be sitting inside it within five minutes of arriving on site. If I am setting up in the middle of a field, I might take another 10 minutes to cut some branches to soften the straight edges of a net hide, but even this refinement is not always necessary. With a fisherman’s umbrella, you still need a net around the front and I imagine you would need to secure it in windy weather. But some decoyers swear by them.
