Once you are confident that your dog has made enough progress you can move on to hunting him in more open areas of the pen and hopefully get a flush or two. Watch out for rabbits sitting up against the pen wire as often when they flush they will run in a straight line along the fence. This is very tempting for any dog. If your dog does give chase and ignores the stop whistle you need to get out after it, catch it (easier said than done) and bring it back to the point of the flush. I normally give it a couple of blasts on the stop whistle right up close. If you have done your basic training correctly the dog will understand what that means.
