Candid about camera
I read with interest Tom Cackett’s article on the Crenova trail camera (September issue). In it, he gives the price as £60 and the web address crenova.net. I was redirected to Amazon, where it was on sale for £69. I wonder where he managed to buy one for £60? Tom said in his review that he was pleased to test the camera, so does this mean that Crenova asked him to test it and he was given the camera at a discount because of this? I want to go with Tom’s recommendation but would like to buy the camera at the price stated in your magazine.
Also, your telephone number 01252 555206 is unavailable to ring. Is this because the office is closed because of COVID-19? Damian, via email
Tom Cackett replies: It would appear that the price has gone up since I purchased one. They obviously know it is a good product. And, no, I wasn’t asked to review the camera by Crenova, I bought it myself and wasn’t influenced by the company in any way.
