Make practice pay off

-

I’ve been doing a few simulated days in preparation for the game season, but my shooting hasn’t improved. Why might this be?

Tony says: Simulated game shoots are great fun and good practice for the game season. The main problem is that with so many clays in the air at the same time, a lot of shooters forget all their training and start rushing shots and poking at targets, trying to shoot them before anyone else. When shooting simulated game, you should relax and try practising good habits, such as moving your feet and mounting consistently. Yes, a few targets will get shot just as you are about to pull the trigger, but have the discipline to stay controlled and practise good habits. That’s why you’re doing it, after all.
