DESCRIPTION

Founded by Richmond Watson in 1901 and developed further by Sporting legend Percy Stanbury, West London Shooting School is a fine example of old meeting new in the best possible way.

■ Clay shooters can take advantage of more than 100 traps spread across the Northolt estate and enjoy an impressive selection of simulated game thrown from an array of high towers which range in height from 40-130ft.

■ Rifle shooters are also well accommodated, with seven different rifle ranges, and, perhaps most excitingly, a massive variety of school rifles, ranging from 17HMR through to .416, all available to use with no extra charge.

■ Corporate guests can also make use of everything on offer through an impressive array of pre-made packages, or by creating their own custom day away from the office.

■ Sportarm’s onsite gunroom and lifestyle shop provides another great excuse to visit. Inside you’ll find a vast selection of the latest sporting arms alongside fine heirloom quality rifles and shotguns from the likes of Holland & Holland, Beretta, Perazzi and more.

■ West London’s passion for quality also extends into the onsite restaurant, Stanbury’s. Here visitors can enjoy light refreshments or tuck into a variety of gamebased plates, from pheasant casserole to venison burgers.

■ Thanks in part to its stunning Edwardian ‘stylings’ and beautiful manicured grounds, West London Shooting School is well worth the visit just to enjoy the scenery. The fact that it also provides a wealth of shooting opportunities, for both shotgunners and riflemen, makes it a must visit.
