Chilli venison sausage casserole

1lb venison sausages 1onion, sliced

1 garlic clove, crushed 1 tsp chilli powder

1 tin chopped tomatoes 1 tin kidney beans 12fl oz beef stock

1 tbsp cornflour

A few drops tabasco 2 tbsp tomato puree

Method

Heat some oil in a casserole dish and brown the sausages. Take them out of the pan and set aside. Fry the onion and garlic until softened then add the chilli powder and cook quickly. Drain and rinse the kidney beans and add to the pan along with the tomatoes. Stir and return the sausages. Mix the cornflour with a little of the stock to make a paste and stir into the mixture. Add the rest of the stock, a few drops of tabasco and the tomato puree. Stir so everything is mixed, cover and cook in the oven 170°C for an hour.
