The grounds are open Tuesday to Saturday for lessons only.
PRACTICE ROUNDS
Guided rounds for up to three people start from £65, inclusive of 100 clays. Shooting cinema usage starts from £155 per person.
TUITION
Individual lessons are available from £130 per hour for shotgun or rifle tuition. Deer stalking, shotgun beginner and young shot morning courses are also available.
DESCRIPTION
Holland & Holland’s reputation for highquality shotguns and rifles extends across its 60-acre estate in Northwood. Visiting clay shooters are guided around the estate by experienced instructors to make sure they make the most of more than 120 traps, each throwing a variety of targets.
■ Sporting is the main discipline on offer at Northwood, though there’s also a selection of simulated game to tackle. Why not book in for a lesson with Chris Bird, the head coach, or one of his team, who offer tuition to suit all skill levels.
■ Rifle shots can also learn a thing or two at Holland & Holland Shooting Ground, thanks to a 100-yard outdoor rifle range and the incredible shooting cinema. Here visitors can hone their riflery by using live ammunition on a wide selection of video targets, which can then be paused and assessed for perfect shot placement.
■ The ground has a strong connection to Holland & Holland’s various gun rooms and smithing facilities. Onsite gun fitters ensure the perfect measurements are taken before a client commissions a new gun, or help with making adjustments to its existing collection.
■ Holland & Holland Shooting Grounds’ 60-acres make for a beautiful break from the city. Thanks to the excellent facilities, combined with high-end dining, a wine room and even an indoor cigar lounge you’ll never want to leave.
