Note that shot pellets stuck to any wad can spoil patterns because, as wad is then heavier it may push into the back of the shot column, disrupting even pellet distribution. If wads are soft and no laminate film is applied a thin under shot card can be used to prevent shot sticking to the fibre wad but this does increase costs.
