That’s your Lotte
She still wanders off on deer trails. When we have worked in the larder she is a devil to get to away from the scent. She will not leave it alone. If she cannot be found we know where she is – sneaking around outside the larder.
For the first time in over a year, we had our nieces up. The family brought their dogs with them – two labradors, one black, the other red. We had Bess, our choccy lab, and a white Alsatian.
Lotte was beside herself, and really wanted to play with the Alsatian but didn’t dare. She spent most of her time approaching him only to run under someone’s legs when he approached her. If she was any smaller she would end up a trouser leg. She wasn’t to know that he is a real softy at heart and a beautifully natured dog.
