Flea the scene of a ‘crime’

Do you find rabbit fleas getting on you or your dog? I shot one the other day and for hours afterwards I felt that the little insects were crawling all over me.

Ed says: I have never been known for my high hygiene levels. I recall a story about a van I owned, which had seen one or two rabbits in it, as well as anything living on them. The inside of the van was littered with crisp packets and sandwich wrappers, as evidence of my existence on the road. I remember pulling up at a farm one day and hearing a faint tapping noise. To my amazement, and to the disgust of my passenger, we discovered that it was the sound of fleas jumping on the wrappers. They never bit me, but after this I kept to pickup trucks to limit the problem. The dogs get fleas from time to time, but I monitor this and act accordingly straight away.
